  1. In a large bowl, combine the tuna, apple, celery, raisins, dates and walnuts. Combine yogurt and mayonnaise; add to tuna mixture and toss to coat. Serve on lettuce-lined plates; sprinkle with the cheese.

I make this on Sunday and it is lunch for four days. I don't use the bread or cheese. Just put on top of salad greens. I don't like yogurt so I used cottage cheese instead which works better ...

I made this today for lunch. I didn't have the dates, so I used dried cranberries instead which was good. Also, I used pecans instead of walnuts. The results were very good and made a yummy meal...

I thought this was delicious, and so did my boyfriend (who didn't believe me when I said people put apple in tuna). I didn't have plain yogurt so thought I would chance it with 2/3 vanilla yogur...

Great recipe. I wouldn't subtract anything from the recipe except for maybe less yogurt and mayo (too watery). I dont use on lettuce as I make sandwiches!

This is a great salad! I made it once with tuna and twice with chicken and loved it every time. Even my 12 year old son gobbled it up!

This is excellent! I only yogurt, no mayo and it came out great! I love the textures and variety, very filling and healthy.
