Apple Crisp

Rated as 4.32 out of 5 Stars

"'Fall is the perfect time for making apple crisp because that's when the fruit is plentiful,' notes Debby Stutler of New Milton, West Virginia. 'I sometimes use two kinds of tart apples to make this old-fashioned dessert extra special-or add a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.'"

This was a little better than my usual Apple Crisp recipe because of the oatmeal bottom and topping. I used Honey Crisp apples and although the flavor was great it did take a little over an hour...

If you like apple crisp without oats, this a great recipe. I doubled the batch and doubled the sugar and it turned out great. It took about 40 minutes.

So easy!! It's like an apple pie with no crust. I left the peels on my apples for added texture and garnished with whipped cream. Yum!
