After church services on Christmas morning, our family enjoys this easy, make-head casserole. Id also recommend it for a special breakfast or brunch any time of the year.

I really like this recipe. But it needs a few changes. First of all there is WAY too much milk, which I am sure is the reason for the mushy mess and longer cooking times people are encountering. Reduce the milk to 1/2 C at the most. Secondly, to increase the volume lost by the milk, increase to 8 eggs. For extra flavor add ham cubes and or cubed breakfast sausage. Layer bread, meat, cheese, repeat. Then pour egg mixture over top. Let sit over night and cook for 1 hour. And whatever you do, DO NOT forget to grease the pan or you will have a gigantic mess. (I learned this lesson the hard way!!) Read More

I had some left over croissants that I needed to use so I decided to try this recipe since I had all of the ingrediants in my pantry. After reading the reviews I decided to add the milk one cup at a time until I got what I thought was the desired consistancy noting that after a night in the fridge most of the liquid should be absorbed by the bread. I ended up keeping all the ingrediants and measurements the same only cutting down the milk from 3 cups to 2 cups. This turned out perfect and it was easy and simple to make. I wondering if people end up with to much liquid because it calls for 7 slices of bread. I don't know about you, but 7 slices could leave you with different amounts of bread depending on the size of the slice, thickness ect. My guess is that if you got a runny mess there was not enough bread used. I used 7 croisssants which would have been more volumne than if I had used 7 slices of bread. Hope this helps. I'll be making this again and can see where you could add in a lot of different ingrediants to make this your own. Thanks for sharing. Read More

Very good! Prepared for my family Christmas morning breakfast and had rave reviews. I followed the recipe almost exactly except used only 2 cups milk, doubled the bacon and added 2 eggs. It was perfect! A keeper and so easy! Read More

Super easy and tastes great! Don't omit the mustard powder, I think it makes the recipe. The recipe is very plain, but could easily be tweaked to personal taste. I was looking for a recipe for a guest that can't handle any heat/spice (this was perfect). So when I make it again, I'll probably add some onions and chiles. Be sure not to over cook. I increased the ingredients for 10 servings and cooked it in a 9 X 13 pan. Read More

Excellent! I made this for our Friday morning breakfast at work and received rave reviews! I didn't have any meat products, so we had it without - but it was still great! This one is a keeper! Read More

This was quck and easy to make. I added a small can of drained diced green Ortega Chiles and a couple shots of Tabasco Sauce. I served salsa on the side. My friends and family enjoyed it very much. Would make again. Read More

This is one of the worst recipes I have ever tried. Even my husband (who'll eat just about anything) threw his away. I had prepared this for a special Easter morning surprise, and we ended up going out for donuts... Would not recommend! Read More

Quick and easy. I used precooked cubed ham instead of bacon so it took even less time to prepare. It is a pretty basic base recipe, so even the pickest kids will eat it. Read More
