Ahi Poke Salad
You can find this appetizer all over Hawaii, it is a raw tuna salad that my aunt makes. During the hot summer months, it is especially refreshing as a mini entree! Cold, tasty and good for you!

Phenomenal! I've been looking for this recipe for a while. This is the closest one I have found thus far-- it's like going to the Safeway deli in Kailua and picking it up!

Excellent fresh flavor. Didn't have the seaweed so I crumbled up a little nori instead. The tuna is easier to dice if you partially freeze it first. I put in a little wasabi as well.
Really good recipe, but I just nixed the nuts and just served as is not in lettuce cups.
This came out really well. I lived on Oahu for 5 years and have been craving Poke ever since I left. Was just about to give up and admit defeat till I found this recipe. I left out the macadamia nuts and added a LITTLE soy to the finished product.
Yummmm Poke Ahi. This is excellent... just as the recipe is written. Well, sans the lettuce... don't want to add calories by eating lettuce. Only teasing, the poke ahi is great, mahalo nui for sharing the recipe
Excellent poke. I followed the instructions and the only change was adding a teaspoon or two of soy sauce.
Almost as good as the E club at Koneohe, which is the best in the world!
Oh my, how fabulous is this Ahi Tuna. I made it tonight, just for me. :) I didn't have macadamia nuts, so I used toasted some sesame seeds. I added just a kiss of wasabi and soy. I served with greens, pickled red onion, fresh avocado and rice. My belly is happily content. #Allrecipesallstarscanada #TasteofSpring Thank you for sharing.
Really tasty! I agree the macadamia nuts add crunch, the sesame seeds a nuttiness and the soy sauce adds needed saltiness. We served with pickled ginger and wasabi on the side. We made this for a dinner party and there wasn’t a morsel left. Thanks for the tip of slightly freezing the tuna. Very helpful!
absolutley fantastic. you can substitute so many things with this.
We love this, I use salmon or tuna, tonight I am going to make little fried wonton cups and mini hands rolls using nori snacks.
This was fantastic. After adding the ahi I thought it might need a bit more sesame oil, but I was so wrong. I made is exactly as written. Everything was the perfect amount and the flavor was excellent. My entire family loved it! I can see I'll be making this often.
Guests said it was the best poke they’d ever had. Good fish made it genome album.
Did not have macadamia nuts, but made it anyway....oh SO good. Now I just need to go catch some more tuna. We have yellowfin here.
