I use this recipe all the time with the regular candy-coated milk chocolate pieces and it is very good.

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  • Thoroughly cream together shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla.

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the dry ingredients, except the candies. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.

  • Stir in 1/2 cup candies. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon unto cookie sheets and decorate with remaining candies. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes.

Tasty cookies. A tip for those with flat cookies: refrigerate your dough until thoroughly cold prior to baking. If your dough is room temperature (and it probably is since there are few cold ingredients) the cookies will start to spread out even before they begin to cook. Cold dough prevents this leaving you with thicker more "normal" looking cookies. Read More

These were just ok. My family did not like them and I made them for a Boy Scout function and it did not seem as though they went over as well as I wished that they would have. No one asked me for the recipe or anything. This is something that I probably would not make again. They were colorful though!! I will give you that along with 3 stars!!! Read More
