Experience

I love writing and I love food. I've been indulging in both in various guises ever since I can remember. They are passions of mine, in work and in life. As a freelance writer & editor specializing in food, health, and commerce content I’m lucky to be able to bring my passions together on a daily basis. I have a Bachelors in International Marketing from F.I.T, was certified as a Holistic Health Coach from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and completed classes in Culinary Nutrition at The Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC.

Working in both Canada and The United States, I've written for Food & Wine, Health, Parents, Yahoo Canada, Rē•spin, Fab Fit Fun & and for tech and media incubators like Gramercy Labs NYC. I currently live outside Toronto with my small family and labradoodle, but was born in Thailand and grew up in Laos where my love for extremely spicy food began. As a foodie, writer, and mom I’m always on the lookout for affordable products that make cooking more efficient.

Favorite Review

This article is one of my favorites because it gives readers tips from top chefs on how to use an everyday kitchen tool differently. The tips are easy to replicate and from interviews with chefs I did who are experts in this grilling technique. The product suggested is affordable and highly reviewed making it a no-brainer to purchase.

Favorite Purchase

A favorite (recent) purchase are these kids cooking knives I bought from Amazon. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who is very eager to help out, especially in the kitchen. These nylon knives are easy for her small hands to grip and cut through fruits and vegetables smoothly. I've only had them for about two months, but the number of tantrums they've helped me avoid has already made them indispensable in my kitchen.

Education

  • Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T NYC) - Bachelors of Science in International Trade and Marketing
  • The Institute of Integrative Nutrition - Certification in Holistic Health
