However, if you haven’t stocked up on some of your favorite cookie flavors, it might just be too late. February 27 marked the beginning of the Girl Scouts’ online sales—and the official launch of the new Raspberry Rally cookie—but supply chain issues are impacting cookie availability in some areas, with Samoas and Toffee-tastic cookies becoming increasingly harder to find. In late 2022, Little Brownie Bakers (LBB), one of the Girl Scouts’ cookie suppliers, announced it was experiencing a supply chain disruption. LBB makes the Girl Scouts’ Samoas, Adventurefuls, Do-si-dos, S’mores, Tagalongs, Lemon-Ups, Thin Mints, Toffee-tastic, and Trefoils cookies. The Girl Scouts’ second supplier, ABC Baker, makes Adventurefuls, Caramel Chocolate Chip, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades, Peanut Butter Patties, Thin Mints, Trefoils, and Toast-Yay! Cookies. The supplier your Girl Scout troop uses depends on the region. That’s why the Girl Scout cookie shortage is only occurring in some regions—where LBB cookies are sold. When the Girl Scouts shared the news about LBB’s supply chain issues, they said it would not disrupt any in-person cookie sales, but it could delay digital sales because those cookies are shipped directly from LBB. However, the Girl Scouts said LBB anticipated it could fulfill shipped orders beginning February 27, according to a December press release. But it seems that might not be the case. We searched a few Digital Cookie stores across the country and found that Samoas and Toffee-tastic cookies are sold out in all of them. And, in some cases, Raspberry Rallys were already sold out too. There’s no telling if LBB will have enough time to restock the online cookies before the Digital Cookie store closes on March 19. So, if you were counting on ordering your Samoas and Toffee-tastic cookies online, you might want to consider a new flavor. Or, you could try visiting a local booth to see if your Girl Scouts happen to have a few boxes left over. And, if worse comes to worst, you can pick up one of our favorite Samoas knock-offs at your local grocery store. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
