Yoly first fell in love with aguachile in Jalisco, Mexico, and here she shares her own recipe for this cold, spicy shrimp dish. Yoly recommends something to wash it down: "Aguachile is very spicy and the chamoyada will help tone down the heat."

Spicy, Creamy Corn Salsa

"Corn salsa along with chips is great to munch on," says Yoly. This cheesy, creamy salsa is easy to make and you can use canned or frozen corn to make it even easier. Even better, this recipe does double duty — Yoly recommends serving this as either dip or a cold side dish.

Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos

Yoly recommends serving her chicken taquitos with "salsa and guacamole on the side." Cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer, these are healthier than taquitos that are deep fried.

Air Fryer Chimichangas

Another one of Yoly's delicious air fryer creations, these chimichangas are filled with chicken, chiles, and cheese. For vegetarians at your celebration, try using beans instead of chicken.

Tacos Gobernador

Yoly explains the origin of these traditional tacos: "These tacos originated in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. It is said that the governor of Sinaloa loved shrimp and quesadillas so the chef of a well known restaurant created these, a cross between a shrimp taco and a quesadilla." She recommends serving these with salsa and a squeeze of lime.

Asado de Puerco (Mexican Pork Stew)

Nothing's left off the menu at Yoly's family celebration. After the initial drinks and nibbles, "the table is reset with a variety of dishes, including refried beans, salsa, chips, flour and corn tortillas. We make a point of serving pork, beef and chicken dishes." Her pork stew is mouthwateringly delicious, featuring a variety of sweet and smoky chiles.
