Host an Oscars Party Like Ree Drummond, aka The Pioneer Woman
Though the closest movie theater to Ree Drummond’s Oklahoma ranch is an hour away, the Food Network star is an encyclopedia of cinematic knowledge — thanks to nights in with her husband, Ladd. “I fiercely guard my evenings with him — and whatever kids are home! We’ll usually watch a movie twice a week, minimum,” she says. So when Academy Awards night rolls around, Ree wants to enjoy the ceremony without being stuck behind the stove. “It’s a great time to have a party because you never run out of things to discuss,” she says. “For the food, it’s all about easy snacks that don’t require a lot of effort. This night is about me watching a TV show that’s all about movies, my favorite subject. So eat your queso, drink your marg, and let’s see what Rachel McAdams is wearing!” Read on to get her easy party tips (and those queso and margarita recipes!), plus more award-worthy dishes from the Allrecipes community.
