It's easy, and the care you put into the simple preparations really shows in the end result. Here's Chef John's authentic Japanese version of chicken teriyaki, featuring a very simple marinade, with soy sauce, sake, and mirin as the base, plus brown sugar, ginger, and chopped green onions. You'll cook the chicken under the broiler until it's a beautiful, shiny mahogany color. "I've been looking for a recipe that taste just like the teriyaki joints in town and this was a winner," says Liz Brock.
Easy Grilled Chicken Teriyaki
Here's a quick and easy version of teriyaki that spruces up bottled teriyaki sauce with a little lemon juice, garlic, and sesame oil. "Chicken breasts are marinated in teriyaki sauce, then grilled to a tasty finish," says prissycat. "Very easy and great for a hot summer's evening. Leftovers are great on a green salad or sandwich. Here's one for the pressure cooker. There's no marinating with this recipe. Just combine the ingredients in the pressure cooker -- dinner cooks in about 20 minutes. "I combined other teriyaki recipes to make up a yummy version for my favorite cooker: my electric pressure cooker," says LESLIESAMI. "I used a mix of boneless skinless thighs and chicken tenders. An easy teriyaki marinade for baked chicken wings gets its sweet tropical tang from pineapple juice. "This is my go to teriyaki wings recipe," says theharrower. "The longer they marinate the better. While baking the wings in the oven, I simmer the sauce on the stove with 1/4 cup of cold water and 1 Tbs of corn starch. Once finished I toss the wings in the sauce. You can also put pineapple rings on top of the wings half way through baking. They come out great."
