Hurricane I
Super tropical drink that needs to be served in a hurricane glass!
Rosemary-Infused Watermelon Lemonade
This is a recipe I created in an effort to duplicate my favorite lemonade from a cafe in downtown L.A. called, well, 'Lemonade'. I don't like it too sweet, so if you want to add more sugar, cool. But I think that this recipe is perfect. It also makes a great martini served in a sugar-rimmed glass with a garnish of watermelon wedge and a twist of lemon! Simply fabulous!
Rum-Spiked Horchata
The Mayans and Aztecs called this the drink of the gods.
The Real Mojito
This authentic mojito cocktail is so refreshing on a hot summer day.

Caribbean Rum Punch
This delicious concoction is the traditional rum punch recipe used in the West Indies, passed down for years. The old rhyme goes, 'One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak.' Any fruit juice can be used. Serve chilled over ice, with fruit garnishes and a sprinkling of grated nutmeg.
Pumpkin Smoothie
Be warned that this pumpkin smoothie recipe is for pumpkin lovers only! My 5-year-old and 1-year-old love this recipe as written. For a hot drink, use room temperature pumpkin purée (instead of frozen) and heat everything through on the stovetop.
Budget Jungle Juice for a Crowd
This alcoholic punch will serve many if you're on a limited budget.

Fresh Sangrita
Sangrita ('little blood') is the traditional Mexican chaser for tequila. It's a mix of FRESH orange and lime juices with salt and a spicy touch. You can give it the bloody appearance by adding a splash of pomegranate juice - or try using blood oranges when available (they really make it better).
Texatini
A unique way to make a margarita. Be careful! These are known to be potent!
Spicy Bloody Mary Mix
My father-in-law first introduced me to this homemade bloody mary mix. It is very similar to what you'd buy in a store. Made as is, it is very spicy. You can customize it to your taste by cutting back on the pepper and hot sauce; I like about half the pepper and hot sauce. Enjoy this wonderful mix! It is so easy and much cheaper than buying pre-made mix.
