I haven't always enjoyed cooking but Allrecipes has changed that for me over the years. I now consider myself a foodie and am always up for a good challenge in the kitchen. There isn't anything I won't try at least once. Summer is my favorite time of the year and when I am not recipe hunting, menu planning, etc. I spend my time fishing gardening, and babysitting my chickens.

Instant Pot (R) Sipping Turkey Bone Broth

I have a go to turkey bone broth that I use every year with my turkey carcass. It is generic in flavor because I use it for various soups, rice, and sauces. This year I decided to use the carcass strictly for sipping broth and it was the most flavorful gelatinous broth I've ever made. A perfect pick me up for cuddled under a blanket reading a book or working on a sewing project.

Cajun Butter Sauce

This sauce is simple to throw together for dipping with shrimp. lobster, scallops, or any seafood of choice. A little bit of heat and a whole lot of love. Leftover holds up well. Just cover and refrigerate and then zap in the microwave until butter is melted.

Grilled Southwest Chicken Salad

Romaine topped with bold grilled chicken, corn, beans, tomatoes, onions, and drizzled with a creamy avocado ranch dressing. This is one hearty salad that hits the spot all year around.

If you've never had green peppercorn sauce drizzled over a steak then you are in for a nice surprise. This also goes good with roasted vegetable or even used as a gravy on mashed potatoes. Brandy may be substituted for the Cognac.
