Dried strawberries or raisins make this very reminiscent of PB&J. These are purposely not very sweet, as we aren't fond of overly sweet things. The original recipe had 1 cup of honey, so my version has substantially reduced that amount; it was far too sweet for our tolerance. You can add more honey if you feel they are not sweet enough but keep in mind the protein powder will also be sweetened, and those can vary greatly from brand to brand. Also, if you use regular peanut butter instead of natural, that will add some sweetness. Taste as you go, and enjoy your version! Dried apples and a little molasses in place of part of the honey and some spices make a great fall snack, too!
