I live to eat, and eat well! I love to be in the kitchen, another y kitchen. Some of my fondest memories are iof my mother, aunts, and grandmothers cooking for us as we grew up. The holidays and parties were the best time because anyone who wanted to help and learn was included. Then there were the secret recipes which were impossible to learn because they because they always changed due to ingredients and temperments. I always loved to sneak a peak, a smell, and sometimes a taste of what was cooking. I also loved getting caught and being playfully chastised. I was also fortunate to live in a fifth floor walk up appartment in Washington Heights. It was at times a culinary adventure going up the stairs and imagining what was cooking behind each door.
