Terrie

In this economy, I need to keep things simple so we can eat at home and spend any extra money on the kids and making memories etc. I'm a wife and mother. All picky eatter's including my husband. It's hard to shop these days on a budget and please everyone. Even harder to stay in the budget and keep everyone healthy. There is much fast food out there that is loaded with sodium, fake foods and processed sugar. I try to keep things simple in the house. Most of the ingredients I use are in my kitchen daily.

I liked this recipe! Easy and everyone ate it! I made a few changes only because its what I had in the frig. I changed the beef to ground beef and used a few scoops of sour cream instead of 1/2 & 1/2. Awesome! Very good flavor!

Tastes good! Easy adaptions if you don't have some items, but very satisfying and fun to make.

5 star versatility! I did changes like a lot of others. About half the meat, half the sour cream, didn't have cr. soup, so I added flour and beef base to thicken. Also, I added garlic to the meat and cooked the fresh broccoli then mixed it in with the meat. Then only 8 oz cheese and baked for 45 min. I put it over egg noodles. So easy and very tasty. Some recipes are great for versability! This one is for certain! You can use what you have and still comes out tasty!

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade

This is so awesome! I only used 1/4 cup sugar though and a whole lemon because my watermelon was super juicy and the strawberries were very sweet! Definitely will make this again! (Maybe later I will try with vodka) It's refreshing!

No Sugar Added Cookies

After reading reviews, I was prepared to make adjustments. Good base cookie but needs more taste of banana or sugar or rasins or something. Kids liked with 2 pks of splenda and some rasins, and well, they are the reason why I bake.

No celery, so I added carrots. I like spicy and the kids like not so spicy, so I marinated about a half cup of oj with a tbl spoon red pepper flakes. When it was time to add the oj, I added regular to the kids and strained the flakes out of the spicy juice and added it to mine. Definately a "make again recipe"

Since I found this, I've made it about 5 times! I made it a bit skinnier by taking out some egg yokes and using a bit less mayo and using turkey baccon! My kids love this! I also grilled the chicken....:)
