I only used the recipe as a guide for using my slow cooker. I used cut, whole, canned green beans, added a table spoon of Worcestershire sauce and a 1/8th tsp of onion powder. Also, I didn't add the parmesan cheese. It was wonderful.
I've made it a few times and love it. It freezes well if you leave out the parmesan cheese. Add the parmesan after it's thawed.
I made them larger for turkey burgers and left out the cream of chicken soup. This is my new go-to for left over turkey.
My wife said it's better than my recipe. It's definitely close, but she doesn't like mine. So, this is another go-to for emptying the freezer of leftover Thanksgiving turkey.
No changes this time except about 1/3 less sugar. Half the sugar would be just fine.
First time smoking fish and I will definitely do this one again. I used 4-5 lb rainbows, filleted.
First time making biscuits from scratch. I thought all was lost after mixing the buttermilk and bacon drippings. What a gooey mess. But, things starting coming together after dusting with flour and folding. I got 8 biscuits out of the recipe and that was rolling them out about 1/2" thick. Bake until dark golden. They really are awesome.
Everyone said this should be my go-to biscuit. I substituted butter for lard.
I first let the eggs and water get to room temp and then follow these steps. Perfect every time and easy to peel.
I followed the directions, with two exceptions. I used fresh, chopped basil and marinated in a Tupperware for about 4 hours. It was wonderful. It's on my top list of salmon marinades.
I can only imagine why this recipe isn't all 5 stars. This is among the best fish recipes I've eaten.
