This was really delicious...and a great change from heavy holiday food! I added a can of corn and a can of black beans to turn it into a main course.
Wowie Zowie! I didn't believe that low-fat brownies could be, well, good. You have proved me wrong, Anna. I made two changes: 1. I substituted 2 ounces of the semi-sweet chocolate for unsweetened (actually makes them lower in fat, plus the hubby and I like a really dark taste when it comes to chocolate); 2. Added a simple, thin frosting of 1 tbsp. butter, 1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate, 1 tsp. powdered sugar and a tsp. of fat-free milk Thanks for an AWESOME recipe! I will definitely make this again and again!
I followed some of the suggestions to gussy up this soup with garlic and herbs, as well as to assume that onion slice meant a sliced onion. Overall it was good tomato soup, zesty. But I wouldn't call it great.
Gary this is DELICIOUS! My husband and I like a little more heat and more complex sweet so I made the following changes: 1. substituted brown sugar for maple syrup 2. upped the red pepper flakes to 1 tbsp AND added 1 tbsp of Asian chili paste (we like food that makes us sweat) 3. Added 1 can of water chestnuts This is a keeper--thanks for sharing!
This was good, but not very spicy like the samosas I have eaten in the past. I think that doubling the spices would help quite a lot. It seemed like the turmeric was the dominant taste, and that the other spices got lost. Next time I will also substitute a spicier chile pepper (like jalapeno). I also used wonton wrappers, and I thought they were excellent because they were so easy to work with.
Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!!!!!! This was really awesome! I didn't have any brown sugar, so I used 2 tablespoons of maple syrup instead. What an awesome recipe!
Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious! We followed the suggestions of using just pork and eliminating the salt. Also, we used about 4 tbsp of filling per wrapper (enormous lumpia!) in order to use all the filling with just one package of wrappers. Very tasty, and thanks!
We would have rated this four out of five stars, but then we added more chili paste and hoisin sauce (not very much sauce came out of the original recipe). Also, used turkey and tofu and it was excellent! Thanks for a great lettuce wrap recipe!
Husband: "Those are good cookies." Wife (with mouth full): "Yup."
