My kids loved this recipe!I didn't have any brown sugar so I used maple syrup.It tasted terrific. thank you for another keeper.
I'm not sure what I was expecting with this recipe,I followed the directions to the letter,but wasn't impressed with this.I cooked it the day before,cooled it,put it in the fridge,brought it back up to temp on St.Pats Day.The br.sugar melted off and the Guiness didn't do anything for it.Won't try again.sorry.

I made this almost to the "T" but I used olive oil instead of butter for the top.My 16 year old daughter loved this.I thought it was just o.k.I wasn't sure what to serve with it, so I baked potatoes and put under casserole.
This cake was really rich and chocolaty. I added warmed fudge frosting to the top. A truly versatile cake. Thank you for a real keeper!
I have to go back and try these again. I was in a hurry and didn't let rise like I should have.They tasted really good.Just not fluffy like I thought they were going to be.They went well with coffee anyway.Thanks again.
The taste was Divine!Moist,creamy,PERFECT I added r/s blackberry jam over mine for a little sweetness.Awesome! Thanks a million for helping me keep hubby happy. UPDATE: 11-13-09 I made this again and this time added 2 rows of crushed Oreo's to the batter. The family LOVED it!! They thought I bought it! I used cinnamon gram crackers for the crust. I also baked it in a cake pan, lined with cris cross foil, so I could use a water bath and not have to worry about leaking of spring form. I put a plate on the cake after it cooled in the oven for 5 hrs and just slipped the cake out and put in a cake cover.It turned out Great!! Hope you like it too:)
This recipes was fantastic! Carlos couldn't believe my son and I made this! I followed it to the letter.It was so COOL when it started to puff up in the oven! If I don't make this again, my hubby would probably divorce me.lol I will make again for sure!Thank you very much for a great recipe!
