i AM CONSIDERED BY MOST PEOPLE WHO KNOW ME TO BE A VERY GOOD COOK. BUT THIS EXPERIENCE WAS'NT GOOD. I FOLLOWED THE RECIPE TO THE LETTER, BUT ENDED UP WITH A SAUCEPAN FULL OF A GLOPPY, STRINGY, CHEESE BALL IN A MILKY BROTH. WE WILL TRY A DIFFERENT RECIPE NEXT TIME.
In my home the word "meatloaf" would send the kids running to anywhere but the kitchen table. I admit my meatloaf was, well, spoonable meat-like substance. 2 nights ago I made this meatloaf for dinner. taking the advise on a few other reviews I cut back on the brown sugar and used 3 strips of bacon to cover the loaf well. No one left the table screaming, and hubby and nephew even came back for a second helping. Thank you, for this recipe. Very Very tasty and easy we loved it.
I've had this same punch at many church socials. The kids love this punch and the adults will be coming back for more as well.
OMI Gosh, saw this recipe on this site and thought it sounded good. I was wrong, It was absolutely delicious. Family devoured it within minutes of it hitting the table. Even the grandkids came back for more. I am serving it to the WHOLE family for Thanksgiving dinner.
We have been making this dish in my house for many years. Way back when the kids named it pizzetti. no matter what you call it, it's good grubbin'. Enjoy
I must admit i was a bit skeptical about this recipe. However.. It was as good, if not better than i had hoped for. I made this for Christmas dinner, for 20 people, and had nothing but rave reviews. I did have to change the timing a bit, to accomodate roasting my turkey as well. I started this roast early in the morning, cooked one hour, as per instructions, let it rest 2 hours, then turned it back on for 1.5 hours(my family is not fond of rare meat) this produced a juicy, pink on the inside, lovely brown on the outside prime rib. The taste was exceptionally good, better than most resteraunts. Thanks for posting this recipe.
OmiGosh!! I made this stew(I made soup)for dinner the night before last. My DH and grown son, finished off the entire pot, minus my one bowl, in one night. I followed the recipe to the letter, except for doubling the entire recipe. definitly will be making this again. I was very reluctant to begin with about putting the wine into the recipe, but was oh so glad that i did when all was said and done. My Son and DH raved over this one. Will most decidedly go into the family recipe box. Thanks so much for sharing.
WOW,WOW,WOW!! I am usually not a asparagus fan, but with this basic recipe and a couple of unplanned changes it was spectacular. First, because my oven was in "clean" mode, i wasn't able to bake this. i cut the spears in 2 after removing the woody parts. Then stir fried them in veg oil with chopped garlic. i then melted the butter in the microwave and added soy sauce to the butter along with about 1 tblsp sesame seeds. before adding the butter, because the spears were still a bit too crunchy i added about 1/4 c water to my wok and steamed the aspargus. after the water had steamed off added the butter mixture to the veggies and tossed to coat... yummmy! DH, who doesnt usually eat aspargus, cleaned his plate of all his veggies..
Super Delish! I made this exactly as written. it turn out so dense and moist. My family loved it. Oh and I discovered that it is fabulos with a bit of vanilla bean ice cream seved on top. thanks for the recipe
can you say oh my GOODNESS? I have always used canned enchi sauce to make my hubbys favorite enchilada casserole. Never again. This sauce tasted just like a favorite mexican restraunt hubby and i frequented while we were still dating. I followed the recipe exactly except for replacing the water w chicken broth and adding about 1/4 tsp chipotle chili powder. So easy, and so, so, yummy. Thanks for the recipe.
I made this for last nights dinner and it was incredible. DH and kids loved it, even I went back for a second helping of the rice. I did think the soup mix would have been to salty. I subbed 1/2 TBL sp Garlic salt, 1 tsp celery salt, 2 tsp onion powder. and since i doubled the recipe i used 1 can cm of mushroom & 1 can roasted garlic crm mushroom. also added 1/2 tsp tarragon on top before baking, salt and pepper to taste. Excellent recipe, thanks for sharing. Oh, and Hubby says thanks too. He is not a big chicken fan, but this could convert him. :)
OMIGOSH!!! if you like lemon flavor, you are going to l-o-v-e, love, love this cake. after reading reviews last week, i bought all the ingredients i needed, and was finally able to make it the night before last. Yummy. took other reviewers suggestions and cut back the glaze sugar to 1/2 cup. Light, refreshing and delishious. DH isn't a big cake fan, but he really enjoyed this cake. thanks so much for posting.
