Radio Days Cherry Custard Kuchen
This is an old-fashioned fruit kuchen, a rich, buttery based dough, a layer of tart cherries mixed with an egg custard, and a streusel topping. This is a cherished family recipe originating from a friend of the family before WWII. Enjoy!
Mediterranean Zucchini and Chickpea Salad
Chopped zucchini, chickpeas, tomatoes, and fresh basil in a light balsamic dressing. Or you can use red wine vinegar! Makes a great side dish or light lunch. Not necessary, but best if chilled at least a couple hours to let flavors blend.
Sriracha Biscuits
I bought self-rising flour by accident, so I decided to make the best of the situation. I could make regular biscuits, but regular biscuits are boring. What could make biscuits more interesting? The answer was in the side door of my refrigerator: Sriracha!
Cucumber Chili Salad
The crisp coolness of the cucumber with the contrasting heat of the pepper makes this a crowd pleaser. Just think 'cucumber mojito.'

Banana and Flax Seed Muffins
Family favorite. They don't last long. Taste great from the oven. I like to freeze leftovers the same day. Great for breakfast or lunch pails. Freeze ripe bananas until you're ready to do some baking.

Smoky Black Bean Burgers
I had a hard time finding a black bean burger recipe that was not 'tex-mex,' so I made one up. Cook in a skillet or on the grill. Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.
Cream Cheese and Parmesan Bread Spread
This is a great spread for bread or crackers. It goes particularly well spread on bread with any pasta meal. Serve with sliced French bread or any other bread you like. While the bread is warming, mix the ingredients in a bowl, spread on the warm bread, and enjoy.
Ermine Frosting
Light and creamy ermine frosting to compliment any cake. I use this instead of a cream cheese frosting on red velvet cake or cupcakes. The almond flavoring really compliments red velvet and offers an alternative if you're not fond of cream cheese frosting. It makes enough to frost 18+ cupcakes or a 3-layer cake.
Aunt Nancy's Baked Beans
Perfect for large gatherings, Aunt Nancy's popular baked bean recipe with ground beef, bacon, and 3 types of beans is so rich and flavorful, it will have them coming back for more!
