I have always had a passion for food. Growing up in Southern Louisiana, food pretty much equated love. I started cooking 12 years ago when I started college, mostly out of necessity. Back then it was simple - veggies and pasta, a steak here or there, and maybe a cake from a boxed mix. These days, it's all from scratch and no ingredient, ethnicity, or cooking method is off limits.

I used 2 small boxes of pudding mix instead of one large one and put a top layer of wafers and bananas. Absolutely sinful!! Rich and delicious...best banana pudding I've ever had.

Soft Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks

I mixed the dough in my bread machine to cut out the work. Very good! Easy to make and came out perfect! Delicious.

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Scaled it to 16 servings, added over 1/2 cup Irish Cream and baked in a 10 inch springform pan close to 1.5 hours. Turned out delicious!!! Everyone who tried it was impressed.

Mocha Chip Cookies

Added extra 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips. Followed recipe otherwise. Result was a bitter cookie. Not very sweet. Cookies burned on bottom after only 9 minutes. Straight to the garbage.

From reading other reviews, I cut the sugar to 2 cups and this was excellent frosting. Perfect amount of sweetness and thickness.

Best Carrot Cake Ever

This was excellent! I reduced the carrots to 5 cups and topped with the "Cream Cheese Frosting II" recipe. It got rave reviews from my coworkers. Grating the carrots was a pain, but the result was well worth it.
