Fantastic recipe! Would've given it a 5 if I didn't find it a bit bland too, so instead of fennel I used my old "cure all" Montreal Steak Spice, on the outside. Perfect!
I added beer to cover the steaks and marinaded 12 hours in Food Saver airtight vacuum sealer marinade bowl. Juiciest, most delicious Porterhouse steak I have ever tasted.
We make these almost every week. My wife takes them for snacks at work and I take them as energy food for long runs. Natural sugars and unbeatable taste. They're awesome!
