Spanish Garlic Toast
When we lived in Barcelona we used to eat this all the time. Warning! Everyone has to eat this. If you don't the garlic smell will drive you out of the room. :D We bought a garlic jar in spain for seasoning the garlic to make the taste a bit more concentrated. It's basically a ceramic jar with holes in the back to keep the garlic out of the light so it doesn't sprout, but the holes in the back allow the garlic to dry, in order to concentrate the flavour. It works fantastic and keeps garlic for up 2-3 months.

This is another recipe we experienced while vacationing in South Africa. They serve it everywhere but finding a good version of this stuff isn't always easy.
We tried this in South Africa while we were driving past an old whaling station that had been turned into a cafe. This is unforgettable. I think it would work just as well with Smoked Herring. Don't worry if you don't like smoked fish. This is fantastic. My wife hates smoked fish and she actually drools while waiting for me to finish making this.
