this did not turn out very well for me. it had too much onion, and without the ricotta cheese, it was a bit flimsy. if i make this again, i'll definitely make some substitutions.
i followed this exctly as stated except i used 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon instead of sticks and it turned out wonderfully. amazing, flavorful, aromatic bliss! i will be making this frequently.
this has made it into regular rotation on my chili schedule. magnificent!
just what i was looking for... very easy, not too sweet, and not too fatty. i added Crasins cran cherries.
These were killer however next time I will make them with the following changes: I'll use half of the butter, add a half of a can or more of the soup, add a clove of garlic and make them in advance of the BBQ as they do take up quite a bit of grill space.
This is one of those recipes that you can bring it to work throughout the week to eat cold or hot. I added more mushrooms because I am mushroom crazy but other than that, the recipe was followed as listed. This does make a ton of food so either scale down, make it for a group or have ample tupperware on hand.
Simple and delicious! No changes necessary! I serve these mixed with Soba noodles hot or cold.
This is a near classic beef stew recipe, however, I made a few modifications to suit my taste: added 3/4 cup red wine used 2 large onions 1/4 cup minced parsley used 4 potatoes instead of 6 This is easy and very warming on a chilly Fall day.
i've made this twice recently and it was delicious on both ocassions.
i took the suggestion of others and added more balsamic which turned out to be too much. i don't know how i screwed this up but i wasn't fond of the result so i drained the mushrooms, put them in an oven safe pan and covered them with shredded mozzarella to bake at 350 until browned. not spectacular but better with cheese.
