Made this impromptu for the hubby's family. They loved it! So much so it was requested a second time for a family gathering. Thanks NomNom! Wouldn't change a thing.
I added a small chunk or handful of mozzarella cheese in the middle and sealed the pouch with the toothpicks. My family loves this. I even added additional shredded mozzarella on top because we are cheese lovers. Served with angel hair pasta with pesto and broiled fresh broccoli with garlic, lemon & olive oil. Superb dinner for company!!!
I made a tad healthier version. I used whole wheat spaghetti, added 2 large leaves of fresh basil chopped, used pre-cooked bacon (so there wasn't as much grease) and added 1 13.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes. The family went wild!! Definitely will become a regular at our house. Oh and parmesan makes it even better.
Don't know what happened but when I added the egg whites to the mixture it all curdled. I served it in chocolate cups anyway and they disappeared so the taste was good. Maybe it was the marzipan I added to the whipped cream for stabilization or the mint liquor I used (it was 100 proof). I shall try this again using the recipe as is. As I said the taste was good. It was the texture. Since I didn't follow the recipe exactly who knows? Must of been something in the variations. They disappeared anyway.
This was a good, easy recipe. I love kielbasa so it was perfect for me and my husband got seconds so no problem there. My daughter didn't say much but that doesn't mean a thing. It was quick which means it's a keeper in my book.
OMG this was my first attempt at Indian cooking and SCORE! The fam loved this chicken! I was thrilled because I love Indian food and hardly get a chance to eat it because my Mississippi husband is a meat & potato plain I never want to try anything new kind of guy so "whoopiee" for me and you! This recipe is a keeper!
I also made this for a church brunch and used Texas toast bread. Everyone loved it and barely a serving came home. I felt with the extra thick slices it could've used more egg mixture but it was still delicious. I also used Truvia baking blend because I do not eat sugar as a rule, just a lifestyle choice, since I have a tendency to put on weight. Will definitely make this again, trying different berries or a combo!
Outstanding!! My son demands it for his birthday. An irresistible dessert that is super easy to make.
These black-eyed peas are the best I've ever tasted! I used a left over ham bone and they turned out exceptional. The recipe made a whole bunch so I am freezing them for another meal but truthfully I could of kept eating them night after night they were so good!
Added 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese and it was oh so yummy. Didn't last long on the stove!
