Patricia Silpe

I am lucky enough to have two very diverse families. My So. California family and SW Florida family. I was raised by a stay at home mom who cooked for a very hungry family of seven kids and two adults. She was creative in her mexican food cooking. Here, in Florida, I have learned southern and Jewish cooking. I basically, only knew about mexican cooking until I moved to Georgia then Florida. Now, I'm open to all types of cooking and techniques.

Ok, when I rated this last time I didn't elaborate. Here is what I did different because my family eats mainly white meat. I used 4 b/s chix breasts. Used a cup of seasoned bread crumbs and increased my egg by one. I added some oregano, thyme, garlic powder and onion powder as some people have suggestion for flavor. I set the oven at 350 for about 30-35 min. (depending upon the thickness of the breast). I made homemade red sauce and poured it on top for those who wanted it. This is the only way my family will eat parmesan chicken now, lol.

The day I made this I never realized just how popular it would become. Apparently it's the type of food that doesn't last long anywhere except in my families stomachs. Now my mom is hooked and stopped buying breakfast bars.

Bones of the Dead

I had the same problem with the dough turning into a gooey mess. I ended up adding more flour and powdered sugar to help get to a consistency I could work with. Then end result lived up to the name - hard as a bone! The taste left a lot to be desired. The ground cloves in the dough was too much even after all the extra flour. I definitely won't be making this again.
