Cola Pot Roast II

I've tried for years (YEARS!) to make a pot roast I didn't have to cut with a knife. This roast falls apart it is so tender. The flavors are incredible! My family raved about how good this was, and there were NO leftovers! Definately a new favorite for my family.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

I really enjoyed this recipe! The raspberry jam I used was very sweet, so I will try to find one with less sugar next time. I took these bars to a party with about 5 other cookies/bars, and these were the first to go! I think I'd like to try blueberry or strawberry sometime as well. Definately a keeper!!

I love this salad! I do have to omit the onion as I have some picky eaters, but it is still wonderful! I use half mayo half miracle whip for the dressing...gives it a nice zing. VERY good!

No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

This recipe was very good. I followed the recipe exactly, doubling it for a 9x13 pan, and found there was at least 1/2 cup too much butter. Once the crust was in the pan, I soaked two paper towels trying to get some of the moisture out, and drained butter out of the pan from the reserved topping. However, these bars were wonderful! My friends raved about them, and they disappeared right away.

New Red Potato Salad

This recipe was pretty good, but I found it didn't have a lot of flavor after it was chilled. The only change I made to the recipe was to use half mayo half miracle whip, and I ended up adding a little celery salt to give it some additional flavor. I really like the change from traditional mustardy potato salad. With a little more practice, I think I'll really enjoy it!

WOW! These bars are incredible! I'm not usually a huge fan of chocolate and caramel together, but this was outstanding! I had to omit the nuts because of an allergy, but even so, they're awesome! This is DEFINATELY a new staple in my house! :-)

Chocolate Chip Crispies

I've never given a recipe a 3 before, but I'm just not sure what the big deal is about these bars. I followed the recipe exactly and was very disappointed. They were very dry, the bars fell apart when I cut them, and the flavor was not good at all. They were worse the next day, as the rice crispies got stale and crumbly. I'm glad so many people have had success with these bars, but I won't make them again. :-(

Moldy water here. I read the reviews first and thought for sure I could figure out how to make it work. Nope!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Absolutely incredible! I made a double batch yesterday morning and they are gone. Completely gone! I'm not sure there is a better sugared pecan recipe out there. Simple...and totally awesome! THANKS!!! ***Adding to my review 12/26/04. I just finished making 15 POUNDS (yes...15!) of these for New Years gifts, and every batch turned out just awesome! I'm not sure why other reviewers have had so much trouble with these sticking...I've never had a pecan stick. Not once! (I do increase the sugar mixture by 1/2 cup sugar). Just make sure you spray your sheet with PAM or something, and they'll be fine...mine just shake loose. These are the best pecans! You won't be disappointed!!!

I won't use any other snickerdoodle recipe...this is a keeper! I use them for family and church things and never have any left over. I've made these at least two dozen times now...WOW!

Sticky Cinnamon Rolls

I'm in the minority here, but these were just awful! I followed the recipe to a "T" and had nothing but hard, grainy, unedible rolls. the topping stayed in the bottom of the pan, the sugar scorched, and the flavor just wasn't worth the effort. The idea to use frozen bread dough is fabulous, so I'll give two stars for that, but this recipe just isn't "it" for me. Sorry! I'll try it again next weekend and (hopefully) upgrade my review!!

Bacon Water Chestnut Rolls

WOW. These are incredible! I made a batch for tonight and now I clearly have to make another double batch! I didn't half the water chestnuts...they weren't that big to begin with...and wrapped them with 1/2 slice of bacon. I did have to bake them for 45 minutes like others have suggested, but it was DEFINATELY worth the wait. The sauce surprised me...such odd ingredients for a GREAT sauce!! (I'll serve it on the side so the bacon doesn't get soggy). This is definately a keeper!!!!!
