I doctored this A LOT! I added spices to the batter. I added butter and vanilla. I added fresh lemon juice to each layer of my apples and baked it at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. It was delicious! I've made it 3 times and friends are now placing orders. I basically used an altered version of a Southern peach cobbler recipe. The one above was too plain for my tastes. I added more cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and 2 eggs to the batter. Maybe, I created a whole new recipe in the end but I give credit to this baker for the basic idea!! THANKS for a new holiday favorite. I made this for a friend who was grieving the loss of his wife. This was his first Thanksgiving without her. This recipe made it possible for me to cheer up his whole holiday! Thank you so much! Food heals!

Happy holidays to all!!!
