Just ok. Soggy but the filling was good. Will try corn tortillas next time.
Good flavor, a little sweeter than I like, will make changes. Made enough to freeze for later, so overall it worked out good.
The box cake mix was the only saving grace of this pie. First Chef John's recipe that went wrong for me. The chocolate topping tasted like unsweetened cocoa powder, the center never set even after 4 hours plus frig time and then placed in the freezer. The center had a good taste but the consistency of syrup. Cannot recommend this recipe.
Good for a hurry up dish. I'll probably add more the next time.

They were pretty good. The red pepper was unique with a little after bite. Didn't have any red food coloring, but I don't think that would have effected the taste. Got them between cake like and gooey.
I really did enjoy these bars. Made my own oat flour and in my oven, they were done in 30 minutes.
Was not a fan. Didn't realize that they would turn brown, in the refrigerator, after a day.
