6 Aluminum Pie Tins
Family Sized Bag of Corn Chips
16 oz Shredded Cheese (Sharp Cheddar, Pepper Jack, etc.)
1 lb Ground Beef (or Shredded Chicken)
1 Tbs Taco Seasoning
1 Jar Salsa
1 Medium Onion (diced)
3 Roma Tomatoes (diced)
8 oz Lettuce (shredded)
4 oz Jalapeños
8 oz Sour Cream
1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro (minced)
1 Avocado (diced or sliced)

Directions

Instructions Checklist

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350

Mix 1 Tbs of taco seasoning with ground beef and brown it in a skillet over medium heat. Drain fat.
Step 3
Lay out all ingredients buffet style and give each person an aluminum pie tin. Encourage guests to build their own nachos starting with a layer of chips, a layer of meat, and a layer of cheese. Add tomatoes & jalapeños as desired.
Step 4
Place pie tins in the oven for 6 minutes. Add "cool" ingredients
Step 5
Remove from oven and allow tins to cool to the touch (1-2 minutes).
Step 6
Add lettuce, sour cream, cilantro, avocado and other toppings as desired.

Tips

The ingredients are just suggestions. Substitute your favorite cheeses, meat choices, etc.
