Very tasty. But to spice it up a little, instead of green pepper I used 1/2 of a jalapeño pepper seeds and all simply because I forgot to add it. I eyeballed the cumin while cooking. I used shredded roasted chicken in the bowl and sprinkled fresh chopped cilantro on top. This gave a refreshing taste. I will use this recipe again.
5 stars because the bun itself is not overly sweet. After reading the various reviews, I proceeded to 'create ' the buns. They were wonderful! The bun was light and fluffy. The sauce was also good but will try adding maple syrup to the sauce next time to give it that extra gooeiness. I may experiment with cream. Sooooooo many possibilities. And the family loved them also. Yeah, it's a keeper.
One thing I hate are muffins that make your teeth hurt from being sweet. These weren't they. They were not heavy. They have the perfect balance for coffee, hot chocolate, tea or juice. I made no changes but already am trying to figure out what to put in it next. Oh! Maybe blueberries. Been wanting one of those muffins. Good job on a not sweet muffin recipe. This is a keeper.
This was awesome! Made no changes. I'll never purchase from store again!
Love this recipe! I've made it before. I'm just reviewing now. I made a couple of additions. I used grapeseed oil because i didn't have coconut oil. Instead of vanilla, I used almond and coconut extract. I added flax seeds, walnuts and flaked coconut. At the end fresh out the oven I added raisins and dried cranberries. I love it! I use as topping for yogurt and ice cream, as cereal and as snack. The uses are many.
I have made this sauce several times. Better than store bought.
I used what I had on hand. I used thawed frozen veggies and linguine noodles. I made the homemade teriyaki sauce and used that. I put about a tablespoon of honey while cooking everything together. All in all, it was pretty tasty. I will most definitely use this recipe again.
Easy sauce. Bland. I added smoked onion powder, garlic powder italian seasonings, salt and pepper. Better flavor. I will make again with my additions
This sauce is delicious. I blended coriander, a couple of chipotles, chix bouillon and a can of diced tomatoes w/onion, oregano and basil to use as the salsa. This is a keeper.
I made the recipe as is. Only thing I did was made into pull apart rolls as one subscriber suggested. It was good but kinda on the sweet side for me. Now, I will make again EXCEPT I will use less sugar and more flour to see how that works for me. I want to try making into buns.
Only thing I did different was I added fresh chopped rosemary. Delish.
