40something native of Phoenix!! You don't find too many people born and raised here, but AZ is my home and I love it!! Being raised by my maternal grandparents, I learned my way around a kitchen fast. Pretty much, I've been cooking and baking since before I was tall enough to see over my grandmother's kitchen counter. Memories of standing on a chair or step stool assisting her in the kitchen with various recipes. Fondest would have to be associated with the holidays. The grandparents had a huge pecan tree so lots of pecan pies and other recipes that called for nuts were often baked. Not to mention all the southern cooking that was done.
