It was absolutely delicious! I didn’t have any sesame oil, so I sprinkled some sesame seeds and stir fried with corn oil. I also didn’t have any napa, but I will definitely get some next time. I think fresh or steamed regular cabbage will also go well with this dish instead of napa. And I would like to try with the wasabi paste like the previous reviewer says because I like “the kick,” too. Everything was super easy to make except trimming the asparagus part. Does anyone know how to do this faster and easier?
I’m very sorry for the rating, but it came out really hard and the taste was bland, I ended up throwing away more than half. I love soy sauce and many reviewers say it was tender and delicious. I don’t know what did go wrong and I can’t see why I mess up with this easy recipe.
We loved this. Even my sisters asked me to make this again during their 10 days stay. We used left over cooked Japanese short grain rice which is stickier than longer grain rice. So we washed it with water to separate and also wash off some stickiness. It turned out great and my sisters took back home the recipe. Thank you for sharing.
YUMMY! It was very easy and quick to make. When I first try a new recipe, I just follow exactly what it says and ended up making for 10 other people whom I don’t have (I live alone). This was perfect and so delicious, I was able to finish it by myself. Thank you for sharing!
I've tried this recipe last Christmas with 4 other cookie recipes and this was the easiest and quickest to make and also was the biggest hit! Forget the rest, I’m just gonna stick with this recipe only for this year. My family and I love the taste of toffee a bit bitter, so I always make sure the butter and sugar become dark enough. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe.
I didn't care for this. There was nobody else to try this with me, and I saw this salad at a popular salad restaurant, so I guess many people like this. I usually love mayo but I felt it was too heavy for this salad (maybe because of bacon?) and the raisins made it too sweet.
It was excellent! I marinated it for more than 24 hrs and baked it for 20 minutes in the oven (400 degrees F). I understand some people said that they couldn’t taste it or needed to spice up more. This flavor is not as strong as teriyaki sauce or BBQ sauce. It’s very delicate. I enjoyed it very much because I just only had this salmon (I was really not hungry at that time) so I was able to taste it. Maybe it’s better to have this with not so strong flavored side dishes? Anyway, it's a five star recipe for me. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve never had hot buttered rum drinks before, but it is perfect for cold winter nights. Now I can’t go to bed without having one sweet cup before… I know it’s not good for my “figure”, but I can’t help it! I like it really hot so instead of pouring boiling water, I just microwave it until it’s hot. Thank you for sharing.
It was very good. The next time, I'll cook the marinade into teriyaki sauce and pour it on the salmon.
I usually marinate salmon for over night. I wanted to broil this salmon as soon as I came back from work, so I fixed the salmon in the morning and it was marinated for about 8 hours. It became too salty and basting made it worse. If I try this again, I'll use less soy sauce or low sodium soy sauce like other reviewers said and marinate it less.
I'm trying to cut starch veggies like this, but it was very good. I used regular paprika instead of sweet one. I bet it'll make taste better.
It smelled really good, but the taste was so-so. It was a bit too sweet for me. But it tasted much better the next day so I might give it a try again. I'll use less honey and add more chili pepper and curry powder. I used regular mustard because I didn't have dijon mustard.
