Our large family did not like this recipe. It was far too sweet. I liked the idea of a little syrup forming with it but we just couldn't eat it. I'm going back to Mom's old Betty Crocker recipe.

Excellent! I reduced the brown sugar to 3/4 cup. Added Craisins, dried wild blueberries and toasted almonds! OMG!!! Absolutely phenominal.

Crab Imperial II

Totally agree with Baltolady!!! A few pointers ... claw meat is always "fishy" tasting (remember, you get what you pay for). Recipe did NOT call for crab legs -- you didn't like it b/c you didn't follow the recipe. Stick to lump crabmeat and try it again. "Old Bay" is a must! Those who have heard "Maryland" style crab cakes, etc. -- unless it has Old Bay, it's not Maryland style. This is AMAZING served over chicken or steak. I have 5 kids (ages 10-19) and they all love it too!

This rec'd rave reviews! I suggest cutting the salt in half. Simply amazing when used to make a white pizza. Paired with Jay's Signature Pizza Crust, onions, spinach, banana peppers and OMG!!!! They were fighting over the last piece (from 4 pizzas).

AMAZING and EASY! I used it to feed my son's friends. Made 12 crusts the first night for his party. Now making it in batches of 4 and they argue over the last piece. Fabulous white pizza if paired with Garlic Aioli (recipe on this site), onions, spinach and banana peppers. Have been told they don't want any others from now on... I think I just made more work for myself. But, it's worth it!!! Made the whole thing in the Kitchen Aid. Did not make any mess on counters!

This was very bland. We ended up having to modify the recipe to give it flavor. It could be the base to a wonderful meal if you make your own changes.

Fresh Pasta

Thank you! This recipe worked great! I followed the suggestions to start with 4 cups of flour and 6 eggs. Also added 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp olive oil as I found in other recipes. By reducing the flour I could add it as needed when I worked with it. It seems like some people that reviewed this recipe may have had altitude/humidity problems. Regardless, my family has food allergies and I needed to be able to make homemade ravioli. This pasta recipe had the perfect texture and taste for ravioli. It even freezes well. Again, thank you Holly!

Oven-Roasted Asparagus

I never liked asparagus until this recipe. Now, when I make it I have to double it because all my kids love it! We have salt-a-holics and salt-sensitive people in our house. As with most of my cooking, I skip adding the salt and let them do it at the table. FABULOUS RECIPE!!!

My neighbor works at a farm and brought us some peaches that were bruised and needed to be used quick. I cut out the bruises which left me with slices and chunks of all sizes and shapes. I followed the recipe exactly with the only change being doubling it. IT WAS FABULOUS! PS: I made a 2nd batch and substituted apples & pears that I had on hand. This batch turned out GREAT as well!

I follow this recipe exactly as written but never make only one batch! They get raved reviews everywhere I take them!

Pat's Dumplings

This is so good that my family and friends literally insist on this recipe! I have rolled it thru a pasta roller as well as by hand with a rolling pin -- It works great both ways. We prefer to roll it out by hand on a flour coated surface. This way, that extra flour transfers with each batch of noodles and then thickens the soup to a traditional stew type broth. It always requires more water than called for. I just drizzle additional water until the dough comes together in my KitchenAid. Once you've had chicken noodle or chicken'n dumplings this way -- anything else will be a disappointment.

Turned out nice. I will add some cloves next time but that is personal preference. I followed recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. I since I had frozen pie crusts in the freezer, I used them and it filled them perfectly.
