Great Flavor. I would make this again. I would have given this recipe 5 stars but just baking the squash for 30 left the squash hard and I even cooked it longer. Next time I would put some water in the baking pan.
Best thing I have made in a long time. I substituted 1 cup of whole wheat flour for reg flour and went a little lighter on the spices. Baked for 60min. SOOOOO GOOD
YUMMY! I messed up and added a BOX of couscous and it turned out like a side dish--a very delicious side dish. Then I added more broth and made it into a soup and it was still good. I also used frozen spinach and it worked well. Anyone having issues with flavor may be using a poor broth. I use Better Than Bouillon Veggie and it is great
Souper! This was sooo good. I didn't do the bacon and topped it with sharp cheddar cheese. I will make this again and again!
I made this for my bunco group and it was a hit. I don't really care for peppers and yet I still like it. I think it is because the dressing balances the pepper flavor out.
Holy Frijoles! This was so good! I gave the recipe 5 stars against my policy not to give 5s to recipes that I adjust, but they are so good I couldn't give them a 4! I followed the reviewers advice and added maple syrup and cinnamon to the sweet potatoes. I used canned black refried beans-why mash?! I pushed the onions aside in the pan and "toasted" my spices before mixing in the beans. My husband said these were "phenomenal" and "gourmet"
these were good.
Excellente! This is part of the dinner rotation. I make it with Veggie crumbles. I just put the frozen crumbles in a bowl and mix in the spices and beans. So easy!
Make this for people and don't tell them what is in it. It is a crowd pleaser.
The recipe, as written, is bland. It needs cheese and salt to flavor it. I used vegetable stock and didn't have parsley.
I gave this 4 stars because I knew what the ingredients were (ie fat content)and made it anyway so I couldn't give it a 3 like I want to. My main complaint is how unhealty this is with the cheese, mushroom soup and mayo, butter and crackers. The flavor was good. The cheesy cracker topping delish. There was a definite zip and my 1 year old ate it all up. I just like to see a little more vegetable when I am eating vegetables! So I guess I would add more zukes if I were to make this again.
Amazingly good! My one year old kept stealing it off my plate. My three year old thought it was too spicy. Next time I will make a little side dish for her with out blk pepper. You don't need to waste a plastic bag though. Just put spices and oil in a bowl and toss in the beets. Pull beets out with fork or slotted spoon and put in pan to roast. Then toss in your sweet potatoes. Then mix well when you add the sweets to the beets.
