I have been cooking sporadically for several years, but have been more serious about cooking for the past couple years that I have lived in a campus town. I don't get to cook as often as I would like, but when I do cook I tend to do a pretty decent job, especially where first trys are concerned. I like to alter recipes when they don't come out as I hoped, and that tends to work well for me. I find cooking very challenging and extremely enjoyable, with the exception of the mess it makes! I consider myself a beginner still in most facets of cooking, but I would go so far to say that I am a very good baker. I always had a sweet tooth as a child, so experiementing with cakes and frostings was always really amazing for me! I am planning on spending this summer in two places: the lab and the kitchen.
