I mistakenly added the whole bag of red hots to the recipe, but happy accident. It was delicious and we also made a pork sauce glaze out of the jelly that was very good.
This is a different and delicious sauce. I'm always looking for something with a twist of flavor. I too added a half cup more sugar to taste. Thanks for the recipe.
This is a hearty soup and good tasting. I also thinned it down with double amounts of water. We like soup alittle thinner. For a different flavor try removing the seeds and membranes of two jalapenos - chopping them to add with veggies while cooking. Thanks for the recipe!
This recipe has some good things going on. The sauce with the maple syrup and onion was really good. However we felt the sweet potatoes with the sauce was a little flat. So I mixed some mashed butter and brown sugar in the potatoes to fix them. Ofcourse then you have something like candied sweet potatoes. Oh well that made them good for us anyway. Scaled down the recipe in half. I don't like chocolate flavor so heavy so I cut cocoa in half. A pinch of salt brings out the yum factor. I beat the frosting in my heavy stand mixer for about 3 or 4 minutes to make very creamy. With these changes this is my family's favorite chocolate frosting. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
This recipe handled very well. I loved how the roll-ups looked in the pan. I cooked some red bell pepper to throw in the sauce and this gave it another flavor boost. However, it would be good just as written. Next time I too will add some chicken chunks browned in butter. Nice company dish.
Having made other Bracioles, this recipe won't let you down. I didn't have bacon but it was still wonderful.
I've made many loaves of bread in my day. I wanted a recipe for something lighter and softer, this is it. Very very good! I have some tips: (1.) I warm my oven (not hot though - check it in a minute or two) to make a proofing box for rising. Then I turn it off and put in covered dough letting it double as directed each time. (2.) Use an electric knife to get good clean cuts for slicing. You can really cut thinner, even slices this way (if desired) helps when you want to eat healthier or for presentations sake. You will need to apply a little pressure to start cutting because the loaf is so soft. (3.) Lastly when bread is cooked and just slightly warm, I wrap in plastic helps to keep a softer crust. Personal preferences: I'm adding another tb. of sugar next time. Also I'm cutting the salt to 2 tsps as well.
This recipe is a very flavorful dish and easy to prepare. I wouldn't say it was my absolute favorite of all but it's a tasty and different change for dinner. I will make it again every now and then. I used apple cider vinegar.
I made this recipe the regular way of making bread with two rises instead of the refrigerator method. I needed them quicker. The rolls were soft and well liked. The kiddos said they were perfecto!
I've never liked Sloppy Joes in the past. But this was good, and oh so easy. I'm still not extremely big on eating them but when I want one I will make this only.
