This reminded me of the boiled potatoes my grandmother used to make. My kids liked it, though.
This is incredible!!! It's so easy, yet guests think you've created something wonderful. Definitely a new family favorite!
I used this recipe "as is" until it came time to add the sausages back to the pot, then I stuck it all in the crock pot to simmer for a couple of hours. My husband loved it...so much so that I only got a little taste!
I didn't find a recipe like I wanted so I modified this one a lot. I used 2 medium vine ripe tomatoes, half an English cucumber, half a green bell pepper and a quarter while onion (wish I'd had red). I used the same amount of herbs, a little less salt and sugar. I only used half the vinegar and oil called for. This was just what I was looking for. I cut the veggies a little too small I think (about 1/2 dice) because they lost a lot of their crunch. But I've eaten it all and want to get more veggie to do it again.
Very simple recipe...but topping is very dry...I used brown sugar for the top...maybe white sugar would be better (like the recipe says!). Just my 2¢
Good cookie...not the chewy cookie I was looking for, but I wouldn't say that they are dry, either.
really loved this! doubled the recipe so i could just use 1 can of pumpkin and used dried cranberries and pecans. made 3 smaller loaves that way.
I double this for my brood and make a few changes. I use 3 lbs. of diced potates, 2 lbs. of diced carrots and 4 small parsnips also diced after the meat has cooked for an hour and a half. I then let the veggies cook for another hour and a half. I also use a full bottle of beer, 2 cups beef broth, and double the thyme. It's a keeper at my house!
Looking for something different to serve with ham. This was great! A keeper and inexpensive to make!
nice way to use up extra zucchini. I didn't have granola so I doubled the oatmeal. I also used some ww flour (because I ran out of white flour!) I used 1 cup of choc chips and 1 cup butterscotch chips for a double batch. Maybe they need some nuts?
really good, but I think it's a little too sweet. next time I will cut back on the sugar a little.
I added a pound of ground beef at the beginning. And I used 3 roasted green chiles from my freezer. This was really good. My 2 yo loved it, but the other kids weren't as sure. They don't like any cheese soups, though.
