I love cooking, and I have a food blog. If you want to visit, here is the address: http://dishingwithdish.blogspot.com/I now live overseas again.... I like trying Portuguese (and many other) recipes. I love to cook and bake. I try a new recipe most nights of the week. I hardly ever use cookbooks anymore, although I do still love looking at them. I enjoy learning about health and nutrition..sometimes that is reflected in my cooking, sometimes not!

Apple Crisp with Cranberry Sauce

Rating: 4.5 stars 61
I devised this recipe when I was trying to use up that leftover homemade cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving! You could probably also use canned whole cranberry sauce for this recipe.

Whole Grain Waffles

Rating: 5 stars 891
I love experimenting with recipes, and I came up with this one after a lot of experimenting with my favorite waffle recipe. These are more healthy than your average waffles, and a lot more filling. I use aluminum-free baking powder. These would be wonderful with homemade blueberry syrup.

Red Potato Salad

Rating: 4.5 stars 290
This pretty potato salad has great flavor. Goes well with a summer barbeque, or anytime! For a tangy twist, try using plain fat-free yogurt in place of some or all of the sour cream. Garnish with additional sliced hard-boiled eggs, if desired.

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Rating: 4.5 stars 835
This is a wonderful (and easy) recipe I got from my Aunt. The flavors of lemon and dill really complement the fish. I like to use wild Alaskan salmon for this recipe, but any salmon will work. I usually don't measure, so these are all estimates. Play with the ingredients to suit your own tastes!

Sweet & Tangy Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Pork

Rating: 4.5 stars 162
This is an easy recipe using boneless country-style pork ribs. Just throw it together in the morning, and you're set! I like to serve this with baked beans, corn, and garlic bread.
