I made this tonight it was great!! I accidentally put even amounts (1/3 C) of vinegar and oil but i just went with it - very very good - I love the tanginess of the balsamic vinegar and the honey cuts it just enough without making it too sweet! I added some dehydrated onions but that was the only change I made!! Very good! Exactly what I was looking for!

I grew up on this but we add a package of dry onion or mushroom soup mix to it for a very good flavor. Love this recipe and so do my kids!

I made this basically as it reads other than I cut the bacon up - and I had no lemon pepper so I just used sea salt and black pepper tiny touch of garlic - I was really hesitant on the brown sugar in the onions was nervous it would be super sweet but I did it. I put the onions then bacon and cheese on each chicken breast and left in the pan covered until the cheese melted. My husband and Dad are super picky and its always hard to come up with good recipes so I give it 4 stars because 1. no on said they did not like it 2. they almost cleaned their plates. I thought it was very tasty not too sweet either - my husband said he liked you could taste every item and it was good together. It would have gotten a 5 star if they both would have cleaned their plates LOL.
