This cake turned out so well that it was GONE in three days! I'm going to make it a lot now! I sprinkled the leftover peanut butter chips on top of the icing... I recommend this recipe to anyone!
I made them plain with no frosting, and they turned out so delicious!!! They will be perfect with the morning coffee! Definitely will make again and again!
Just because it's easy to make doesn't make it easy to eat. Steer clear.
Excellent! My two-year-old even loved it, and that's the ultimate stamp of approval. I added butter to the mushrooms before I put the wine in for more flavor. Fantastic recipe.
This really is the best way to make vegetable pizza. I used an extra half package of cream cheese though, because it was too tangy. I used a food processor to shred up cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. It ground them into a kind of crunchy power-it was neat. Then I sprinkled the top with shredded cheddar cheese. Good stuff!
Absolutely WONDERFUL recipe! My family loved it, even my picky 3 year old ate a bunch!
This was a huge hit! We served it over egg noodles. I used a can of cream of mushroom soup and half a can of french onion soup.
This cake is too bitter for me. Next time I think I'll try crushed butterfinger instead of heath bars. My husband gives it three stars, he says it's good but nothing special.. my three year old son screamed I LOVE IT over and over...
For the love of GOD, don't melt the butter... make sure it's softened, NOT MELTED... mine didn't bake up right but I'm still giving it five stars because the taste is so wonderful, even if you ruin the batter! Will make again, and next time I'll follow the instructions!
Excellent and easy recipe... my husband loved it! Next time I'm going to cut it down to half a can of cream corn so it won't be so moist and add some jalapenos.
I made the mistake of following the version of this recipe that is in the cookbook. BIG mistake, ruined a whole pan of potential caramel. You only need to boil the caramel for 3 or 4 minutes and stir CONTSTANTLY. Then take it off of the burner and stir it for about two more minutes. This turned out WONDERFULLY. My husband gives it a 10, and he never gives anything a 10.
Pretty good! It only took 22 minutes of simmering before it was finished. For the 1 cup of dried fruit, I used mariani dried fruit (chopped up) and omitted the prunes. The pecans add a great touch, it really wouldn't hurt to add a little more pecans if you're a fan.
