This lends itself very well to improvising and my family all loved the result of my modified version. I cannot wait to try the original now. My modifications were: 3 diced fresh Roma tomatoes in place of crushed Blend of fresh mozzarella and pepper jack cheese Added lightly sautéed fresh mushrooms and because I didn't have Alfredo or milk, I used one can of condensed cream of celery soup and water.
I had started making a different salad and had tomatoes, spinach, red onion, mushrooms, hard boiled eggs but no bacon. This dressing sounded fantastic and it was. Everyone loved it. I don't think it matters much what you put it on. If you like curry, you will like this.
When all done, I tasted and felt there was just something missing. I added about half tsp of ChineseFive Spice and wow, it popped. Simple, quick and delicious. Thanks
I made used a generous portion of onion, garlic and cayenne then served with yellow rice. Family loved it.
The flavors in this were very satisfying. I didn't have the buckwheat so I substituted bulgar wheat and just reduced the water.
Excellent recipe. Easy and a hit with the family. Definitely will make again.
It really was foolproof! Lol I combined the gravy (from the Classic rib roast) recipe and it was a hit!
I’m very pleased how this turned out! Minor substitutions of dried oregano and black olives (on hand) and I added a few of the jalapeño seeds. I also sautéd spinach in the saucepan after putting in oven which nicely flavored it. I would definitely make again with any white flaky fish.
I took the recommendations of other reviewers and used 50/50 balsamic to oil and I was very pleased with the results. I’ll make again.
Fantastic. I used slightly less sugar than the recipe called for and it was delicious and easy to make.
I had cod with dill butter frozen fillets, so I kade the base then added the frozen fish and butter pat and simmered for 20 minutes covered. It came out perfect. I would make again and try different variations.
