Yummy dish, but make sure to stir the eggs in for awhile to ensure their cooked and well-heated. I also chopped up an onion and fried it with the bacon. Add the bacon at the very last minute so it stays nice and crunchy, also sprinkle a few diced tomatoes on top.
Awesome!! After reading numerous reviews, I followed the advice of others. I floured, seasoned and browned my half-frozen roast (which was 3/5 lbs.), used the same amount of gravy ingredients, also added 4 cloves minced garlic and worcestershire sauce. About half way through I added a chopped onion. I let it cook on low for about 10 hrs. It was juicy and fell apart. The gravy was fantastic (especially on garlic mashed potatoes). I'm not a huge roast fan, nor do I like mushrooms but I served this for company and everyone (including kids from 5-16 yrs.) kept raving. Thank you, this is a definite keeper!
A 'true' biscuit, these were light and delicious. After I stirred the milk in (which I did not use a full cup of)....I kneaded just a bit then formed 6 biscuits with my hands, no rolling or cutting...very easy! Altho, I should have doubled the recipe, they were gone in no time. Thanx John.
This was a very satisfying and yummy soup. Simple to make and easy to modify. I cut back a bit on the cauliflower and added some broccoli, also added some grated sharp cheddar, parmesan and some cream cheese. Also, very important not to puree the entire soup, leave a couple cups of the vegys whole. Thanx Vivien.
Yummy! I rolled the dough into four 8" circles but could have definitely doubled the filling amount. I also added sauteed peppers, onions and garlic and 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce. I used the cheddar and thought it was delicious, but next time I think I'll use both cheddar and mozza. Very filling and teenager friendly!
