This was my first homeade cake and it was absolutely delicious! This is a very easy recipe to follow and it is fun to make. My family thought I must have bought it from a bakery, they still don't believe that I made it!
I used 1/2 inch chops instead and adjusted cooking time to 40 min. They were very tender and moist. Thumbs up from my husband! The water in the bottom definitely makes a big difference! Thanks for sharing!
This was a very tasty dish and so easy to make. My husband and I loved it! I will definitely make this again!
This recipe is excellent! I used thin cutlets instead of breasts (adjusting cooking time for less). I also added fresh garlic w/the shallots & some white wine w/the fresh lemon juice.I will make this dish over & over again, it's become a new favorite!
This was absolutely delicious! It's so moist and the topping really makes it! Thanks! OK, this last review was 9/11/03 and it's now 5/5/05. I must review again because I've been making this for over a year now and I have to say This is the best meatloaf recipe, really! My husband flips over this. He says, " I love the way you make your meatloaf, I've never had better!" This is the best compliment, considering the fact that his Mom is an excellent cook, ( in my opinion as well as his.). That means, my meatloaf is better than Mom's, Thanks to you! Don't change a thing - the recipe is perfect as is!
This recipe was delicious! I used thin sliced cutlets instead of breasts, other than that, I would not change a thing! Thank you!
Great recipe! I had sea bass & porgy's - no idea what to do with the porgy's. Both types of fish came out excellent!I also put a little fresh garlic on fillets & brushed on butter & lemon before broiling. Will use over & over again!! Can't wait to try on tilapia! Thank you!!
I have to review this recipe again because it's just soooo good! This time, I added celery, mushrooms & scallions w/ the bacon & onion sautee, also used half & half instead of milk and chicken broth in place of the water for potatoes. I also added 1 can of corn - again I used leftovers, grilled swordfish steaks in a terriyaki marinade. I have not tried raw fish yet, but this recipe will work with anything - very versitile and absolutely perfect!! I get such great compliments on this dish, you have to try this! Thank you again for an awesome recipe!
WOW! These were delicious! I used stove top prepared instead of bread cubes, added some cooked sausage & used a granny smith apple (great flavor). I also used a brown sugar glaze on top - 1/2c brown sugar mixed with 1/4c melted butter & spread over top of chops (only 4 chops). This recipe is a definite keeper! Thanks alot!
This is a great recipe! I used 1 cup of BBQ sauce & removed foil for the last 5 min to thicken sauce as per other reviewers. I also used 6 breast halves and there was still plenty of sauce leftover for a side dish (cheesy mashed potatoes - yum!). Cooked for 45 min - Perfect! Thank you! I'll keep this one forever!
