Made this for a steak salad. Really yummy. Added a little milk to get a thinner consistency.
These were a big hit with my family. They are a little lighter than traditional zucchini bread and very tasty.
My husband and sons love hot food. Me, not as much. I was kind of scared of the amount of cayenne pepper in this recipe but the fats and the brown sugar took the edge off. It was fantastic -- all of us agreed. It was hot but not the kind of hot where you are gulping milk in order to stop crying. It was hot enough for my guys; I wouldn't have wanted it any hotter but I could eat it, too. The techniques here produced juicy and flavorful results. Would definitely make again.
I added some finely diced carrots and it was perfect. Yum!
Followed recipe almost exactly except I omitted the sour cream and used extra sharp cheddar instead of processed cheese. I had some fat free half and half that I needed to use up so subbed it for milk which is why I didn't think the sour cream was necessary. Good soup.
Really easy and really yummy. Just be sure all ingredients are measured out and ready. It cooks up fast.
My family loved these! Cooked on stove because the chops were thin. Came out perfect!
I added ricotta cheese but otherwise followed recipe. Really yummy!
I'm sure it would have been good as-is, as it was a good base, which is why I'm giving it four stars. I did follow some suggestions in the review section and I increased the sugar by 1/4 cup, the coffee to 1/3 cup and the cocoa to 2/3 cup. I also added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. I have to say that hint of cinnamon really pushed it to a five-star level -- I was skeptical at first but wow, it was good. Also, as others noted, you have to use about a 1/4 cup of mix to get a good flavor. I made these for gifts; next time I will be sure to save more for myself.
Made this as-is and gave some away for the holidays (but kept some for myself, too. Yum!). My MIL is a big fan of caramel corn and said it was the best she's ever had. That's high praise!
I backed off on the sage a little, just because I'm not a huge fan of sausage with too much sage so I was cautious. Did the substitution for the curing mix since I couldn't find it. Overall turned out excellent! Will make this again!
I didn't change a thing -- my family LOVED these!
