I thought these cupcakes were pretty good and the kids loved them. The cake part was a little dry, but my main problem was that I made them the night before, waiting for them to cool, then put them on a cardboard tray and covered them. The next morning the marshmallow fluff had thinned and ran down the sides of the cupcakes making quite a mess. Only half of the fluff was left on the cupcakes. Did I do something wrong?
I was very disappointed in these. I thought they were extremely cute, but I have to say I (and the kids) thought the cone tasted awful after baked and was rather soggy the next day. Actually the soggy cone tasted better than the crisp cone. I wouldn't make these again, unless I try covering the cone with aluminum foil before baking them.
I LOVE this sweet sauce. I've been making it for about a year and have passed it onto several people. I only use about 1/2 the packet of onion soup mix and 1/2 of the worcestershire called for. I also add a tablespoon or two of pineapple juice (something my grandma always added to her bbq sauces). This sauce makes delicious ham bbq sandwiches. Just whip up the sauce and add some finely chipped ham.
I thought these were great, and so did my mother who normally exhibits great self control when it comes to sweets. She didn't with these, she ate 7 of them in one day!. I did some plain and some with drizzled chocolate. Chocoholic that I am, I preferred the ones with chocolate. I didn't feel they were messy at all.
Well, Adam, I read all the reviews and paid close attention to your advice. Yet I have to say that I was rather disappointed. I followed all your tips, but found them to be too hard, too much butter, and just tasted like a sugar cookie. I probably would make them again just for the novelty - perhaps for Halloween or something.
I made these for my daughter's kindergarten class and they turned out great - and tasty! We made this in individual plastic cups for each child and placed a worm in each one. My daughter made paper flowers out of construction paper and we taped them on the handles of green plastic spoons. Then we stuck the spoons down into the dirt, so the flower did double duty as the spoon. I can't wait for the occasion to make them again. UPDATE - We made these for her Halloween party and set Marshmallow (Peeps brand) ghosts on top. The kids loved them!
These were so easy and fun for my 6 year old to help with! Much easier and less messy than regular chocolate covered pretzels. I'm glad I read the reviews about the kiss not melting - perhaps someone should change the wording in the actual recipe to make that clearer. I used the waffle pretzels and Easter m&m's and they turned out adorable! They looked like little nests. I'll be using this recipe again and again.
These turned out great! This was the first time I made a cream filled cupcake and I was surprised how easy it was. The cream filling really helped lighten the CHOCOLATE taste of the chocolate cupcake and chocolate icing.
I read many of the reviews and worked them into the recipe and the brownies turned out great! I too used milk choc chips, teddy grahams, and extra marshmallows and baked plain brownie til almost done. I then threw on toppings and baked 5 minutes - just long enough to melt the chips so they held everything together. Thank you everyone for the tips. I was very happy with the results and my daughter's class devoured them.
A great cookie recipe! Very fancy looking without alot of work.
These were great. I do agree they are more cakey than fudgy, altough the middle was nice and gooey. I even tricked my 6 year old who will not let vegetables past her lips. I peeled the zucchini so she wouldn't see the green, but she still noticed some white flecks. I told her the white was white chocolate chips. I'm going to gradually start adding the peel in. This will definitely be a regular at my house! UPDATE-Okay, I ate one tht was baked yesterday and sat overnight. The brownie's are now fudgy and wonderful! The moisture from the zucchini must soak in more overnight.
These had a very good taste, but I prefer a chewy and moist brownie. These were very cake-like and a little dry. But I liked the fact they were different and cool looking. I'll bet they would be good with ice-cream and hot fudge sauce.
