I'm pretty boring, my life is my family. My husband loves my cooking and it shows! (sorry, Honey) My 9 yr old son will eat just about anything as long as he has a separate utensil for each and every item on his plate. My 14 yr old step-son is the pickiest. He used to drown everything in ketchup, but we finally got him off of that kick. Now he douses everything in Red Hot...but who can blame him? It's good stuff!
Chili I

I was intrigued by the unique ingredients, so I had to try it. One thing I need to point out here is if you do not like beer or coffee then don't make this recipe. I could defintately strongly taste both of them in the chili. If you like beer and coffee on their own, then this is the recipe for you. It was definately a thick, dark chili but I won't be making it again.

This was a so quick and so, so good! Also added green and red peppers. To make a slightly thicker sauce, I substituted a jar of Beef Au Jus for the beef broth. Excellent!

Dog Treats I

The dough was a little tough to knead, so I added some peanut butter which helped it all stick together and the dogs certainly didn't seem to mind the extra ingredient! One of our dogs will eat anything, but the other one is picky and they both loved these treats and begged for more.

Nice twist on an old tradition. They have a "party mix" sort of flavor to them. Would be good mixed in with some pretzels and peanuts. I'm eating them as I type...very addictive!

My mother has been putting sour cream in her coffee cake for years and it is the moistest cake ever. I should have known it would work for other baked goods also. Great bread! Next time I will sprinkle extra brown sugar/cinnamon all over the top. Good stuff!

Candy Bar Fudge

This was really good, but the two days later the top got kind of weird, dull-looking with little white spots. A friend who ate it the first day though ate about half the pan. Good if you serve it the day you make it!

I've been making this recipe for 2 years...never to anything less than rave reviews. I always double the apples and sauce. It goes quickly!

Easy Baked Pork Chops

My family doesn't like things cooked with mushrooms or wine. However, this is the best method I've ever found to bread chops. I bake for a 1/2 hour covered, then cover with a brown gravy and bake another 1/2 hour. So tender you can cut it with a fork!

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

I don't like bleu cheese if it is too overwhelming in a recipe, but this was perfect. Served with french bread...four adults ate it all in just 5 minutes...sooo good!

I made this recipe 3 times in the first month! Great for cookouts. I like peach preserves the best. I undercook the tortillas a little...about 7 minutes. Leaves 'em perfectly crispy and still a little chewy inside.
