Spicy Tomato Bisque with Grilled Brie Toast

Rating: 4.5 stars 57
Nothing's more comforting than grilled cheese and tomato soup. This is a gussied-up version, with grilled Brie cheese sandwiches and spiced tomato bisque with basil. As the soup soaks into the sandwich, break into pieces with your spoon and ladle up with the soup.

Indian Chole Aloo Tikki

Rating: 4.5 stars 50
This is a delicious vegan Indian recipe where vegetables and chickpeas are served over small potato cakes. It works well as a starter for four, or as a vegetarian and vegan main for two. Place the potato cakes on a plate, serve the chickpeas on top, and don't forget the sauces! Recipes for Indian sauces - coriander sauce and tamarind sauce - are on this site. Finally, sprinkle with some fresh coriander leaves and a few thin slices of fresh onion.

Nimakayya (Lemon) Pulihora

Rating: 4.5 stars 2
Lemon rice is a quick and tasty dish that you can make very quickly if you have cooked rice in the house. My mother used to make this for us when we came back from school or on Sundays for a quick lunch. It is delicious and very refreshing. Serve with some plain yoghurt or curds. If you want the sweet-salty taste, you can also add 1 teaspoon of sugar. My kids like it this way.
