SUPER MOIST!!! Tasty treat that all the in-laws loved! I made it into a turtle cake, pecan/caramel frosting with melted caramel drizzled over the top. YUM! The extra cake from leveling the layers mixed with chopped pecans and melted caramels made *great* turtle cake balls!
I have never had so many people ask for this recipe! YUM! I think the smaller chips would blend better since the cookie 'meat' is fluffy and cake like. If you double, only do 4 cups flour and not five and just use one can pumpkin. Butter, not shortening, will give it a fuller flavor and taste better. Enjoy!
I didn't do the gravy part since the meat it self was *amazingly* flavored!
Very tasty, I just need to learn not to 'mash' them down so much, I didn't have the lovely craters to hold my cream cheese. Just need some more practice with such a delicious recipe!
I was no good at 'tossing' the dough (read: it fell on the floor, twice) but it tasted great anyway and brushed the crust with a little melted garlic butter, it was to die for! I do not have a pizza stone so I baked JUST the dough for about 10 minutes on a well greased cookie sheet (round and square) then added sauce and toppings and baked for 15-20 minutes more. SO GOOD COLD THE NEXT DAY!!!
Totally forgot the cheese, but super tasty anyway!!! Great on the go breakfast and packed full of protein to keep you going.
