I love this recipe and have been cooking very similar version for years just not in the crock pot. I also add a pinch of cayenne pepper to add a little zest and gotten rave reviews from all that have tried it.
I tried the recipe and definitely think I will bump the peanut butter up to 3/4 next time. I like more flavor.
I think the recipe was great! For the few that didn't get the rice to cook properly I would suggest that you cover the rice while cooking and Do Not lift the lid until the end of the cooking time. Rice steams to cook and apparently someone either didn't cover it or kept lifting the lid during the steaming process.
Where is everyone getting their Pre-baked crust or even dough for their crusts for this recipe? Thanks!
Made it exactly per the recipe and it was very good. Appreciate reviewers that mentioned lemon juice to keep bananas from browning.
We like the recipe but I follow the instruction on the package of rice for cooking which requires about a cup more of water. Can't imagine cooking rice with only one third cup more water than the amount of rice?! Less soy sauce that others also mentioned and I cook the egg right in with the rice. Turned out good
This was a great recipe and the only change I made was to decrease sugar and water just a bit because my fresh strawberries were already very sweet. Very easy recipe and it thickened right away to a perfect consistency. Those that commented it was too runny must have put 3 teaspoons of constarch instead of 3 Tablespoons. It became very thick as soon as it started to boil. I did add food coloring for the bright red look. Thank you for the perfect recipe that could work with many different berries for different desserts!
I think its extremely bitter BUT could be my old dry mustard?? Was totally surprised with how to make Chinese hot mustard from dry mustard . Usually it was always served with sesame seeds and a ketchup sorta base for dipping so don't understand those trying to turn it into a "sweet" hot mustard. I did add Dijon mustard to take away from so much bitter flavor but again could have old age of my dry mustard. Thank you for recipe!!
I wanted to try this recipe until I saw the nutrition value per serving (which I always appreciate Allrecipes including with recipes??) Sorry there is nothing slightly healthy about this recipe! Sounds yummy but honestly if you have high cholesterol, heart conditions, high blood pressure or overweight.....I seriously suggest you skip it and find another healthier Alfredo sauce! Look at the nutrition values if considering, please. SORRY but foods like this help create the problems I mentioned above. Americans are in love with food before health...exactly why obesity and health problems are so prevalent in this country....God Bless
